The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular and widely-played franchises in video gaming, and Nintendo has decided to release an original entry on their handheld console. Announced during Nintendo’s E3 2008 press conference, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is the newest installment heading for the Nintendo DS.  The game is being developed by Rockstar Leeds, the company who developed the PSP GTA titles in conjunction with Rockstar North. Although information on the game is scarce, what is known is that it will take place in modern-day Liberty City and involve a Triad crime syndicate. The game will take advantage of the touch screen and, quoted from Rockstar, “will deliver a rich, fast-paced and intense 'Grand Theft Auto' experience that will be truly unique to Nintendo's handheld platform.”
