With Krome Studios working on Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels for the Wii, Lucasarts is developing the DS counterpart titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance. While Lightsaber Duels takes full advantage of the Wii Remote, Jedi Alliance will use the touch screen for movement control and lightsaber combat to bring it’s own unique experience to the Nintendo DS.

          While the art and style is based off the newest Star Wars movie The Clone Wars, Jedi Alliance will feature it’s own original story that will take place between Episode II and Episode III. This will add to new directions not explored before in past films.

          Now the main focus of the game is just as the title states. The player chooses two Jedi from the movie in any combination to pair up and use for each mission. The playable Jedi include Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, and Kit Fisto. When a team develops a relationship they’ll learn new special abilities and stronger attacks. Replaying a mission with another combination of Jedi will unlock new areas and other secrets. The game will also include wi-fi connection for coop-play between players.

          Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance will be released on November 11, 2008
