I was opposed at the thought of another Sims 2 Pets game gracing our dual screened companion yet again (as I thought the DS version of Sims 2 pets was a poor comparison to the PC version), but I stand corrected.  

          Whilst watching a short video of this new installment to the franchise I realized that EA had gone down a different route with this game.  This game is based in an apartment (as the title so obviously states) and with your apartment you gain a lovable new pet with its very own pet spa.  Making sure your pet is groomed, cared for and loved whilst you’re earning Simoleans to furnish your new home and shower your pet with new and glamorous accessories is now your top priority.

          There is a much bigger focus on the care of your pet in this game than the previous Sims 2 Pets.  The game and interface is remarkably similar to the hugely popular Nintendogs by Nintendo, so this is sure to attract both young girls and boys a like.  Although within this new game the variety of pets that your Sim can own is more than that of a simple puppy.  You can own dogs, cats, hamsters, and even snakes!  Again this will be sure to attract different types of kids, especially the ones whose parents won’t buy them a snake for Christmas.

          As in Nintendogs, your pets can also attend and compete in pet shows to gain fabulous prizes for their enjoyment.  Play a host of new mini games utilized by the DS touch screen and stylus to unlock a multitude of new objects for your Sim and their pets.  

Its seems this will be a great game for any pet lover out there.
