The day the Wii remote was first shown, Star Wars fans everywhere knew that one day Lucasarts was going to take this motion controlled gameplay and create a lightsaber dueling game for the Wii. Developed by Krome Studios, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is new Wii exclusive title that’s shaping up to be exactly what the fans have been waiting for. Lightsaber Duels will take full advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck’s motion controls to simulate lightsaber combat. Swing your Wii Remote and the lightsaber will swing as well.

          Lightsaber Duels will take place during the newest Star Wars film,  Star Wars: The Clone Wars and provide 10 playable characters from the movie such as, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, General Grievous, and each will have their own unique fighting style and special skills. The various stages will also be from the movie such as Tatooine or Teth. Players can interact with the surroundings of the stages and use the force to throw an object at their opponent.

          Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is expected to be released on November 18, 2008. The only disappointment is that the game was too far into development for Krome Studios to use the newest 1:1 Motion Plus for more accurate motion controls but I’m sure it’ll be in the sequel if Krome Studios decides to make one.
