Assassin's Creed II Review

  by darknessedge

]Assassins Creed 2 took everything that made Assassins Creed fun and entertaining, and improved it ten fold, and all the repetition issues from the first game are non existent. Assassins Creed 2 is a visual masterpiece. The details in the architecture are stunning you could tell the environment artist put their heart and souls into bringing the streets and buildings of renaissance Italy to life. The character models were very well done and a wide variety was also a nice touch. The entire art team did a fantastic job making you feel like you were in renaissance Italy. Fans of history will really appreciate the attention to detail. The music in Assassins Creed 2 is fantastic and very enjoyable. Jesper Kyd really out did himself. The music was very fitting as well as a beautiful masterpiece.

The gameplay not only improves everything from the first game, but adds some new abilities and weapons such as poison, the dual hidden blades and the hidden wrist gun and the ability to fight with the hidden blades makes for some interesting combat situations. Assassins Creed 2 also introduces the ability to upgrade all of your equipment and the ability to upgrade a town. There are also many puzzles that offer a challenge, but aren’t impossible to solve and the rewards are well worth the time.  The story is compelling as you continue the war against the templars. A conspiracy befalls your family and now it’s up to you to stop the conspirators and avenge your family.

In Closing, if you enjoyed the first Assassins Creed or you’re a fan of history you will enjoy Assassins Creed 2. If this is your first entrance into the series, Assassins Creed 2 will bring you up to speed during the prologue.

That is why I give Assassins Creed 2 gets 10/10.
