Red Dead Redemption Review

Red Dead Redemption Review.

Red Dead Redemption has probably been one of the most anticipated games of the year, you can see why with its expansive scaled lands and lush graphics. This game out weights it predecessors in every way, from the smallest details of the grass to the mountain ranges of Mexico, rockstar games have never made a better game.

The game is based upon an outlaw called John Marston, his family has been threatened by federal agents because of his past, he is forced to hunt down his former posse, of which used to be his friends in order to save his family. This is a hard ordeal for John as he gave up his old life but has been brought right back to the action.

He comes to an abrupt stop early in the game which leaves him with no choice but to get allies and prepare a force in order to attain victory. This leads to a very in depth and indulging story with over 20 hours game play you are not going to get bored quickly. The story has plots and twists everywhere which when you play it you will think its ending way before the conclusion.

The online is another strong point in the game with up to 16 players in one match its very intense, The game integrates online with the offline wonderfully with the whole world being your game lobby.

The enemies are everything you would expect in the wild west, being dumb and mindless a lot of the time, making the game very funny most of the time. All of the characters you meet during your adventure add a real sense of authenticity to the world, making you believe that you are in the real wild west.

The actual mechanics of the game are very well built, made from the ground up using euphoria as their running engine. This adds a lush weather system which is unpredictable, they used the idea for the cover system from grand theft auto 4 but it is redefined.

The transportation in game is horses, but there are a huge variety of breeds, also there are steam trains and horse and carriage to bring abit of variety to the game, if you do not feel like trekking miles though, you can fast travel to make your life easier but if you want to have the full experience i suggest you explore, you never know what you could find.

I love the way the whole game is actually set out, to make you feel like a proper bad ass out law, there is also a lot of emotion which is good for a game, i feel when online like part of something when in a posse, its good to ride around with you mates and rob banks like a traditional wild west film. I think rockstar games did a brilliant job with this title and i hope for a sequel soon.
